Sums it up perfectly. Nothing remotely realistic about this system. When one airline has a CI of 100% and a competitor has one of 30% on a LH route and there is often little difference in the pax % achieved by the two airlines who use similar sized aircraft - that makes a mockery of the system in my pov.


Not in mine. I'm not selling more tickets with more CI - but I price them higher.

The effect is limited, but I did measure it enough times to agree with the common knowledge : the best level of marketing expenses is 5 to 10% of your total expenses. Below that, your overall profit is smaller(unless you're so big that you're at 100% anyways).


i am not saying that CI doesnt have an impact. i am saying that the way marketing and CI correlate is rubbish.
