Do you mean that as in "This is a private beta, so only people who are already registered as of x day are invited..." or "Only these random x number of people are invited, but not everyone registered."?
The group is formed mostly of people on a specific IRC channel ;D

Probably because a beta version means it isn't complete yet; it needs testing and refinement until it's complete.

And the problem here is that there are still bugs or missing things that would allow exploiting the game. It's not suitable for the public, because anyone could use these exploits to gain an advantage (for example the Concorde doesn't have fuel flow data yet, so its fuel flow is 0kg/hr, thus anyone could operate it almost for free)

Screenshots looking great!

Looks and sounds great.

Two questions, Are we going to be able to paint the livery ourself? and, Would we be able to design our cabins? Like a drag and drop type thing?

Yes but does it matter as it's been released now. And if you browse back the announcements forum the whole idea of the development has not been to release anything unfinished..

Something I just thought of: in real life, not only landings and hours of a plane are counted, but also the cycles (one cycle= 1 T/O and 1 landing). For example: Martinair's PH-MCH (cn: 24428/279 (source: airliners.net)) is not the oldest 763ER, but it has the most cycles of them all. According to someone I know via a forum, it will go back to Boeing how will try to figure out if anything more can be squeezed from the airframe.

Note that there is a difference between cycles and hours. If an aircraft fly's only LH flights, it will have a lot of hours, but less cycles. Martinair used to fly their 763's to a lot of destinations around the Mediterranean Sea, and Africa. Those are, relativity, short flight, which is probaly why the MCH has built up so many cycles. Anyway, here's my point: in a cycle, the aircraft T/O's, climb, cruises, and lands. In that proces, the airframe handles a lot of stress, f.e. the stress from the pressure cabin. If 1 cycle is short, it undergoes more of these things in a shorter time.

Oke, here's what I just said: I think the cycles one aircraft makes, should also be implemented in the aircraft system.

Thanks for your time ;)

The number of landings (=cycles) is already counted. I don't know if it has any effect on anything in the game, though.

Nevermind me.. didn't realise that!  :-[
