Quote from: Dasha on March 21, 2013, 09:51:03 AMThis is the general sound of almost everybody so maybe Maxis and EA will listen to 'us'. At least we've gotten a free game in return so I'm not really complaining too much
Quote from: sami on March 21, 2013, 01:13:46 PMI'm really undecided what free game to choose. Poor choices, no surprise of EA.BF3, nah. NFS, too arcade.. etc. Might just go with the SC4 even though it's worth nothing
Quote from: ReedME on March 25, 2013, 12:27:49 PMThey didn't have to. But they owed it to all of us that put up with this joke of a launch.
Quote from: Dasha on March 26, 2013, 09:44:46 AMSo by your logic, everytime your flight is delayed by even 5 minutes (which is a joke for most people) they should give you a free ticket to anywhere you want? I'm afraid it doesn't really work like that in the world my friend
Quote from: ReedME on March 26, 2013, 10:38:37 AMNo I'm saying that EA despite taking a huge amount of pre-orders and having had experienced with such a launch should have learnt from their mistake, and made sure they had the capacity to cope with the people connecting. A flight being delayed due to circumstances out of the control of the airline is a completely different situation. If the flight was delayed by a significant amount of time due to the airlines own negligence then that'd be a different story. Fact is, EA took a very strong single player game, and made it a requirement for you to be online at all times in order to use it. Then sold it to people saying they could play it on March 05. 80% of those people were not able to even get into the game for a good week later. This is significantly worse than a 10 minute delay to a flight. Especially considering it could have been avoided and about 50% of the players that are forced to use the servers bandwidth have 0 interest in actually playing multiplayer.

Quote from: swiftus27 on March 28, 2013, 11:08:47 AMthe names of the servers do not imply where the server is... hence "Antarctica"
