New features:

  • Office rent will be charged .. for all base airports and HQ airport. Automatically calculated and charged for each base airport.

(and before you ask, only renting office space is possible - you cannot build an office building)

(picture is from 'Base airports' page - where you manage the home bases.. staff values are still zero here as that is incomplete)

Sami

New features:

  • Initial loan feature is added back (was not available for some time due to loan system renewal).

Sami

New features:

  • Fleet commonality costs have now the base airport effect included. For each base airport you must pay for additional commonality costs (administration, spare parts, training). For HQ airport there are no additional costs or changes.

Cost is structured so that the commonality costs (engines excluded) are 15% higher at aircraft at base airports, compared to aircraft at your home base. So if you have a fleet of 10 planes and all at HQ, and you'll pay for example $500k in commonality costs. Then you move 5 of them to a new base airport, leaving 5 to HQ. Then your commonality costs will be the original for the 5 at HQ but 15% higher for the 5 based outside HQ, bringing the total commonality bill to $537.5k / month.

Feature is meant to model the raising costs of administration when people, documentation, parts and facilities are spread around the country in many airports.

The 'base airports' page (pictured here) will show the relative share of commonality costs for each base you operate. Fleet commonality page will show the combined total values as already now.

Sami

New features:

  • One more picture of the same 'base info view' window. Office rent and staff costs can be now seen per-base. Here is a pic of company HQ...

Base airports chapter in the manual is almost complete, and published already for previews. https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Manual/Office/Bases/

The last few chapters will be written once the feature is completed (and after that the manual chapter will be 'officially' announced).

Version 1.2 quick beta test is expected to start in next 2-4 days.

The 'Base airports' page & links are also visible in v.1.11 game worlds but they will just give out a blank page (I cannot configure the buttons to appear only on certain worlds, so the button is unfortunately visible also on these old game worlds).

New features:

  • Airport slot count math has been improved a bit. The system is now more realistic when it comes to small airports and calculating their capacity (ie. a small regional airport used to have the capacity of an intl. airport, like 31 movements/hour, though in reality it would have been closer to 5-10 .. this is adjusted now). Larger airports do not have notable changes (a tad smaller slot count than before but it's more realistic now).

Sami

New features:

  • The new "white label"  ( :P ) tooltips are installed on schedule pages too. Information content is the same still (changed later on, perhaps).

Sami

Progress report:

  • The menu and functions for opening a new base airport were completed yesterday (ref. this post a few days back). You can select the desired airport and planes to be relocated and cost esimates are shown etc..

Work is in progress with some staff functions still.

Sami

New features:

  • Staff functions related to multiple base airports are complete. User interface is the same as before but the system works in the background staff levels for each base airports individually (= "smart").  (this was a bit more complicated than expected alltogether....)

The manual page is also slightly updated: https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Manual/Office/Bases/#Staff

Sami

New features:

  • Adjustment to used aircraft purchasing: Airline is only able to purchase 2x used planes each day (compared to 3x previously).

  • Adjustments to make night time departures or arrivals on short domestic/international flights less appealing to passengers.

  • Adjustments to C/F ticket sales so that company image is more relevant factor than in Y class.
