Traffic Prediction

I don't know what happened with the idea of creating a forum for general aviation and airlines talk, so I'm just going to post this here.

I've been doing some research on Future Passenger Traffic Prediction/Forecast, and I need some brains to work with me on this.

From what I learned so far ICAO uses a simple econometric model to predict future traffic, but I need more details on that model and how to use it ...etc., also what is the authority/organization...etc. that's been giving the most accurate or the nearest predictions to the actual about future traffic prediction?

I found some books online but pax/cargo prediction is only discussed in small chapters.

Try contacting a realworld big airline. What are they expecting or calculating? On the other hand, maybe they won't tell you, but if you're a student and need information for a project, they might help you...
