By the way if anyone has some free time to make a logo, I would greatly appreciate it.
(I've tried to make one but I suck at anything artistic.)

North American Airways - NAA "At home in the sky"

Would start out leasing so fleet and hubs would be date dependent. Would start with no less than 3 aircraft. Depending on how leasing in this game works, would like to have a 60/40 own/lease ratio. Aircraft choice of course would depend on the hub and date.

Possible Hubs:

YVR - Aircraft focus 60/40 6+ hours/ under 6 hours
YYC - Aircraft focus 70/30 under 6 hours/6+ hours
YYZ - Aircraft focus 60/40 under 6 hours/6+ hours
ORD - Aircraft focus 50/50 under 6/6+ hours
MIA - Aircraft focus 80/20 under 6 hours/6+ hours
IAH - Aircraft focus 85/15 under 6 hours/6+ hours
LAX - Aircraft focus 60/40 6+ hours/ under 6 hours
SFO - Aircraft focus 60/40 6+ hours/ under 6 hours

your going to probably start with 2 and then order on. Almost every one leases planes in the beggining because the planes are way to expensive to buy. :)

I wouldn't really be wedded to doctrine. I would play the opportunist, and pop up in all sorts of places from game to game, trying different strategies each time. I DO have a weakness for the notion of bush lines out on the periphery. The notion of a hub based out of either CYEG (or CYXD in early scenarios) does hold a perverse fascination, even though it'd be limited to fairly regional operations (tentative name: Borealis Air). Granted, it'd be equally tempting to pick a major but oft-overlooked city like Bangkok, Manilla, Warsaw, Tehran, etc, and try some kind of Cathay Pacific/Emirates model with big planes, longer hauls, and fancy-schmancy stuff.

Personally, I find a DHC-8 to be just as impressive as an A380.  8)

Or the DHC-6.  Out of production for 20 years, and there is still something like 65% of the aircraft are still flying.  We won't know if the A380 is that impressive for a long time.

I'm more of a Vickers Viscount man, personally, but I can agree with the sentiment. ;)

You are aware CAN is the code for Guangzhou, China. The three letter code for Cancun is CUN

i have in beta a320 a310-300 and atr42 which is no serving me well. went into debt though but should be out of debt soon

Here's my airline that I want to play as when the next beta starts or if the game comes out.  8)

Using a fleet of A319s painted in the livery I've posted in the other thread, offering one class inbetween business and premium economy. Our main hub is Munich as you can see on the map. However, we hope to start flying from Berlin-Brandenburg International as soon as that's put into the game!

It depends on the age and condition of the aircraft as well as which weight configuration and engines it has. I currently have this:
Name                Age     Cond.            Engines                                 Leasing cost
Airbus A 320-200  9.87 y  89 %  2x CFM International CFM56-5A3     446 680 USD / month

And when you lease the airplane, you must pay the lease for the 4 first months, so in my case I'd have to pay 4x 446 680 USD = ~2,000,000 USD. Then the next leasing costs would come only after those 4 months have passed.

This same aircraft is at the moment generating around $650,000 profit / week. So, I am making about 2,5 million USD / month - leasing costs = 2 Million USD / month.
