I am back to scratch my AirWays Sim Itch ;D

Is there a doc or wiki that explains the best way to schedule aircraft

I am in Beginners World 2 so hopefully no rush and no stress.

do a forum search for 7 day scheduling for long-haul, a wiki has been written and this is definitely the way to go.

for short-haul the trick is aircraft optimisation, have them flying day and night. Depending where you are you can try for an overnight two timezones east, leaving at 2355. That way if you land at 0600 turnaround and with timezones be back for 9 or 10. That way no penalties for landing/taking off between 0000-0455, passengers hate these hours.

Or go west two timezones, depart say 1900 local landing 2245 departing 2355 local gets you back at 0500 local. Leave a slot on Saturdays for A check as they're lowest pax days.

And definitely look at cargo, it's new and makes a lot of money. Also doesn't care one little bit about departure/arrival times and tech stops.

Cargo works better with bigger planes. The 27 tons class (727, TU204, A321F) makes good profit if full one leg. 757s can be even better if you can fill the 38 tons of capacity. And, on big lines, the very large cargo can be gold mines. It's just very slow to work (basically, until 90 of RI, you lose money).

Thanks for that information.

I am also now reading the Cargo Guide in your signature.

Thanks
