IN GW3 I am currently using the Fairchild Metro for my airliner but I am not entirely sure how the end of production works.
If enough players keep ordering this airplane, is there a possibility to get to the year 2036 with it or is there a hard date past which the production ends no matter what? I guess I would really only need them to be produced until 2020ish.
Someone from my alliance mentioned that Fairchild went bankrupt in 2003?  :o

Otherwise, what similar capacity (19pax) will be there in the future to allow for a fleet swap?

If you (or someone else) orders the model, it will remain in production indefinitely. Just keep an eye on production announcements and ensure you continue to order frames if a production end date is posted.
