Hey all.

Wow the game has changed alot! So much that i have aome questions

The first is, how is demand calculated? It is city pairs and not airport pairs correct? This could explain the low demand on aome major routes out of PDX.

Second, is a Allegiant style model possible in the game? By this I mean 2x weekly flights to certain destinations, with the goal of taking the weekly pax and serving them in those two flights (due to low demand).

Third, why are there no range restriction for LGA , DCA,DAL (until 2014). There are slots in real life that go farther from the perimeter, but the lack of this is kinda weird to me.

Fourth, has there been an update to the guide for newbs? I think one is in order, i feel like an idiot right now using certain planes.

Fifth, has catering/ifs/ife been mentioned as a development item? Would be nice to have this.

Sixth, how are seats calculated? I noticed that AWS does not do even rows... For example a 5/114 A319 would have an uneven Business class row. Strikes me as odd.

Just some random thoughts.

#1 - between airport pairs still, new system in the works

#2 - daily demand (x1.5) is about the max you can reach; so they don't pile up (yet)

#3 - modelling such political restrictions for the period of 1950 to 2030 for the world is impossible really, and hasn't been ever considered. (and after all the basic route policy is 'open skies'; there are no bilateral agreements which would be far more important than some single airport restrictions if we look at the big picture. But modelling that wouldn't make any sense either as then (in the old days) carriers would simply fix prices and frequencies as they please together)

#4 - Manual is up-to-date always. Any forum guides are purely unofficial. I've also un-bumped some of the sticky threads at this sub-forum now that were clearly outdated & not deserving a bump.

#5 - Not a priority currently.

#6 - Seat space IS calculated per rows (each seat type has a certain width and length it requires). It's just something the user does not need to consider, the system does it automatically.

(p.s. will PM you back tomorrow or so)

It's about seat density, look at JAL's domestic Business Class, which is also 5 abreast in the 737s.
