Hey guys. I have recently just got the new macbook pro retina 15inch. Anyway when i am browsing AVSIM, the format is weird and behaves like i am looking at it from tablet or mobile. I am not getting the desktop view. Hope this makes sense. Any help please?

Thanks

Anyone at all please? I tried with CHROME, FIREFOX and SAFARI and they're all the same. Maybe it's the code writing of website? Please help.

Thanks

Can you post some pictures?  I don't think anybody knows what problem you are seeing unless you show us.

I will post when i get home but basically the problem is, for example, in the scheduling page the box which you can filter routes, aircrafts etc should be on the left side of the page when browsing from desktops or laptops. For the mobile and tablets version site those boxes will be on the top page instead. For my MBP Retina it's showing on the top page which i assumed it's thinking i am accessing the mobile sites. I don't like this as everything is too big and the visual is not as good as the desktop sites.

Try changing the zoom level of your browser by a bit, at some level, it should jump back to the left...

BTW, it is not horrible to live with the filter box being on top...  The only one unbearable is the scheduling screen, where the icons get shifted to the 2nd line...

I've had the boxes you mentioned show up on the top of the screen on my desktop, when I narrowed my browser window to have something else open beside it. It's nothing to do with mobile vs. desktop, it is all about screen real estate. If there's not enough room to put it on the left side, it gets moved to the top.

This is due to the screen ratio of the 'retina' display; it's not really possible to differentiate the small 11" or 13" display where the mobile layout is a must or the 15" display.. At least didn't find a solution when new ui was developed.

I have a feature request to lower the threshold ever so slightly when the system decides to re-arrange the tables.  All it takes is a few pixels to prevent the flipping of tables (rearranging them) on 2560x1600 screen....

I don't know what exactly it calls for, I am guessing something in the neighborhood of 1280 pixels.  Lowering the threshold slightly would really help this popular resolution (2560x1600 with 200% magnification).

i had to reduce zoom level to 90 percent to make it alright. wish didn't have to but oh well better than nothing.
