Reason: Almost real airline name, however look at his "advertisement" and logo:

He even says that it's named after Etihad Airways in his press release:

Also, if you take a look at his profile, he has airlines named "América West (AWX)" in Game 2 & "City Jét (CJX)" in Game 3.

Dragon Airlines in Game 3 is using realworld Logo of Dragon Air which is actually the trading name of Dragon Airlines (Part of Swire Group)

A quick browse through Wikipedia tells me that the founder of Skybus is planning a revival of the airline so I guess he owns the name. I'm still not a lawyer, but I don't see how bankruptcy would make the name and logo of any company free for anyone to use.

I'm not sure why that would matter. I've never seen Sami say even once that it's okay to use a real world name so long as it's a non-flying airline. The rule just says no real-world airline names.

If you are asking do I think this is a good time to start a new airline, my answer is no. However, the downturn in economy does not change the ownership of the name.

It's just a game.  You don't make any money using any real world names and they don't lose any.  Oh i get it, if the real world name goes bankrupt in the game we wouldn't fly the real world airline.  In the words of John McEnroe, you can't be serious.  Oh hell, he is going to sue me.

It is a game. A game has rules. The rules and terms of use of this game forbid the use of real world airline names. It is that simple.

You or I don't make any money from this game whether we use real world names or not. However, Sami makes some money from this. (Whether the game on the whole is profitable to him is another question and really none of our business.) When you run a business you have to be careful about things like this. Whether you think it is ridiculous does not really matter as you are in no danger of being harassed by lawyers of a major corporation.
