Long absence

Hello all,

It's been a rather long time since I was last here, last game I was in checking back was Jet Age #3!

Things appear to have changed a fair but since then. Anybody able to summarise the key changes so I don't have to read back through endless threads to find them?

That's the one thing about first year of university in game design and development, it takes up all your time!

If you check out https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,26356.0.html it gives a good overview in order of the changes.

Things that I would notice if I were you are the slower rate demand will build up on a new route, and the improved used/new aircraft changes, which means its easier (faster) to get the planes you want.

I would jump into beginner“s world and start right off. Only thing you might notice at once is the seat blocking option. It may be used if you would otherwise oversupply a route seatwise (200%).Violations of that rule are now strictly enforced.
Start slow, as already mentioned, LF of new routes will rise much slower, because PAX are now more aware of CI/RI.
Keep departure times well apart, or your flights will be counted as only one, resulting in low LFs.(rule of thumb 1 hr).
PAX are now more prize sensitive, it makes sense to work with fares now.No rule of thumb there, try and error best method.
If you run out of used planes on the market or slots at big airports, endless refreshing of of pages no longer allowed, system will warn you.
Usage of proper material enforced,system will warn you. No longer endless 752-ing on major transatlantic routes
Manual updated to main changes, I would re-read it first in any case.

No wonder I'm not getting the LF's I'm after! What sort of prizes are you offering? What type of gift would you suggest for first class??!  ;D
