By far the worst aspect of the game that long term players cannot see stats and achievements of previous games.

It would dramatically improve the game to have a player historical stats, and hall of fame for all time records.

I would love to be able to see how I did in MT3, and who has had the largest CV in any MT world etc etc and obviously so would many others as the support for this feature from players is overwhelming.

Without it games, and all the effort / money spent on them, become just a distant memory far to soon.

Yes! the discussion is over... we need a feature request!

SAC, I choose you!!

...SAC puts tin hat on and ducks   ;)

Seriously though, I am sure I have raised this as a feature request many many moons ago.

Will have a search and bump it.

After the thread develops I think it's time for a serious answer.

Installing some kind of achievement system (or Hall of Fame or whatever you want to call it) in a new game might be a nice thing. But installing it as a feature in an old game sucks - just to speak about me it destroyed my fun on World of Warcraft.

Why is this?

Because people achieved things in the past and, maybe due to personal goals (a good regional airline, only Russian aircraft etc.) or personal circumstances (new job, new relationship), aren't able to achieve them anymore.

What they achived is lost and is maybe replaced by someone who isn't really #1 or #2, but #1 or #2 after the system was installed.

People who put lots of time into the game are most likely those who wants to see what they already achieved - most likely because they are often in good positions at the statistics. Also those enthusiasts are affected most by the problem of forgotten achievements.

Another big point is the purpose of the game. AirwaySim is a sandbox game and the statics, as I pointed out several times in the past, suck.

1) Is the airline of someone who plays an original Soviet airline with Soviet aircraft less worthy than some pro running an easymode airline out of Heathrow or Atlanta?
Success is nothing one can put in nice and fancy statistics. Bankruptcy is also not a point of success. I saw clear #1 airlines BK because of boredom, running out of credits or the owner needed to go on a longer business trip.

2) The current ingame statistics can be manipulated very easily. An airline out of Los Angeles or Singapore will always be able to dominate Available Seat Kilometres as well as Revenue Seat Kilometres, even it has not 30% of the profit and revenue of an airline with much smaller numbers in this.
Load Factor and profit margin mostly goes to small airlines, out of airports with less or no competition. I barely saw a big airline in this.
Richest airline CEO is based on salary level of the country the airline is from. Example: I spend maximum CEO money from day 1. But on #1 in the statistics with over 1/3 more money is some random dude running an airline not even 10% as big and rich as mine - but he's out of a high salary country.

Honestly I think the best way at the moment to say if someone is successful or not is taking a look at the Bug forums and other posts about helping others and bringing the game forward.
Maybe sami should make a Hall of Fame for people who reported Bugs he was able to recognize and fix or people who really help people over a longer time like Talentz or Sigma.

However, if you stay at your ingame Hall of Fame thing, I'll stay at this: https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,43021.msg234055.html#msg234055

Im sure everyone old enough to play the game understands that statistics is just a tiny indicator of the complete image of a company. I think what we want is not just for getting the rights of bragging but to have something to remember achievements for a personal record and interprete whichever statistic we find is important. I doubt anyone sits home whining because they are not winning highest value of DOTM.

So much that could be done with a feature like this and it would be fairly easy too.
