Suggestion - Hall of Fame

To increase the motivation of players, would that be possible to add a "Hall of Fame" area at section such as the Dashboard as a token of appreciation to the top three (or maybe ten) airlines who are the most successful till the end of a certain game?  Information of the top airlines such as number of a/c and routes can be provided for other players as a reference of whether joining the game at the same level in the future. Please consider, thanks!  :)

AWS is a sandbox game so how would you define success?  Most pax carried? Biggest profit margin? Highest company value? Most destinations served?

mingmarco

just like various kinds of data shown in the "statistics" section of dashboard

Any/all of the above could work.

Such as a listing of the top 10 airlines of all time in CV, then top 10 most pax carried, then top 10 most destinations, top 10 richest CEO, etc.

And top 10 Biggest profit margin could also work, and give people a reason to actually try to make money instead of piling up fake losses for tax evasion.

It might have to be categorized by Era (top 5 jet age, top 5 DOTM, top 5 MT, etc.) due to inflation and demand growth, otherwise all the top airlines will be MT.

I would like to also see a 'Hall of Shame' : but with the bottom 5 in each category : give us small-bird flyers something to aim for too :)

Actually there could be a HOF catergory for "most <19 seat aircraft in operation"

Curse

No, thanks, I don't need another Hall of Fame containing mainly my nick. I'm too modest for that.

We already have enough statistics available on the dashboard. We don't need something shouting "look who made the most money" at us. It's easy enough to find already.

If you want to toot your own horn, that's what the news releases function is for.

Exactly, more categories...

LemonButt

I think if there was an algorithm created to create an "efficiency score" that would include all of the factors, this could be a good idea.  Efficiency would include fleet utilization, pax per flight, profit margins, and a whole slew of other stats, much like a QB rating in football where you max out categories.  So if the max score is 100, you can only get 5 points for fleet utilization, 5 points for profit margin, etc.  Of course there would be several numbers after the decimal, but this would be the only way to really compare apples to apples in terms of hall of fame across all game worlds.

Captim

We know that's not a perfect stat, but it's a leader to be sure... not just about yards lol

All those stats disappear forever at the end of the game. The hall of fame is a historical ranking across multiple games.

We used to have those end-game stats back in the day. You could log back in to a finished game world and look at everyone's stats.

Dunno why Sami stopped that...

I would just love to be able to see my old airlines and remember which airports and gameworlds ive played. if all the data was sorted somewhere as a hall of fame it would be even more fun. I think this would make players go through the effort to play until the game ends as it would leave a small but still.. a mark. It would also work as a curriculum for the players applying for alliance memberships.

JumboShrimp

+1 to the hall of fame.

Even better, leave old games on the server indefinitely, maybe somehow viewable by everyone...

They have not gone anywhere. End-game stats are visible for about a month after it has ended.

Does that mean the stats are stored forever or get deleted after a month?

By far the worst aspect of the game that long term players cannot see stats and achievements of previous games.

It would dramatically improve the game to have a player historical stats, and hall of fame for all time records.

I would love to be able to see how I did in MT3, and who has had the largest CV in any MT world etc etc and obviously so would many others as the support for this feature from players is overwhelming.

Without it games, and all the effort / money spent on them, become just a distant memory far to soon.
