Airlines using realworld names / logos - Report here

AWS does not allow real world airline names or logos to be used - and this is mentioned in the info/rules page where you create a new airline.

Seems that all people do not read the manual or other instructions so there are some airlines using real world names or logos. The system does have a filter to check the names but it is missing some airlines.

So if you find any airlines using the real world name or logo, report it here. And report also which game world it is.

you can use similar names however correct. Just btw can you use excticnt airlines names ie. swissair which went bankrupt years ago? I am assuming this policy is for legal reasons right.

So what exactly will happen to these airlines/players?

not sure you can even use busted airline names as more often than not someone still owns the name.

As Sami has stated, as long as its not used "in game", forum use is not a problem.

Nice try though  :)

And technically we are Red Star Alliance.

So technically you guys are not breaking any rules, you are just unimaginative. :P I stand corrected!

No?  ...It's the same .. in the game, here @ forums, on the moon .. whatever, the trademarks are still valid.

Sami... so would you consider Red Star Alliance and Five Star Alliance trademark infringments?? Well... what about if someone opened a Qualiflyer (since this alliance is dead in real world) would it be considered too?

IMHO those are not a problem.

But if it resembles the real thing too closely it's a different thing (for example: EasyJet - EazyJet). But always hard to draw the line on this .. And would definitely not go into the admin pre-approval mode for the names, too slow.
