my airline will be a small charter based airline operating out of Thunderbay(CYYZ) flying to small airports like timmins, sudbury and northbay.
The aircraft i will be using will be small also:
B100(if it gets added to the data base) if not then the b99
c208
saab340
and most likley i will use 1 or to larger aircraft to fly to toronto, like 737-400,or 800

The name of my airline will be Thunder Airlines.

Talentz

Wow! Thunderbay? No joke? That's going to be very tough, with how the game is now. You have my blessings  8)

But isnt YYZ, Toronto?  ???

As for my "airline" when the game goes public.. I guess it depends more on the time or "era" we fly in (70s/80s/90s ect). I want to start in an airport with alot of international demand. I'd really like to try out 747s or 777s the like. Long range, high capacity aircraft.

I havent based at an airport with enough demand to fill them, so never had the chance.

CptAWatts

lol yh tht was a mistake Thunder bay is CYQT :-[ ,and im sure it will b gd aslong as it is realistic enough.

ICEcoldair881

yes, CYYZ is Toronto, CYUL is Montreal, CYOW is Ottawa, CYTZ is Toronto City Center, CYVR is Vancouver, CYYC is Calgary and CYHM is Hamilton.  8)

If you want to be like Southwest Airlines. You need to make BWI (Baltimore-Washington Airlines) one of your main hubs :)

Talentz is right about this one, in that Thunder Bay (last I checked) didn't have much by way of route stats entered for it. The model doesn't do the best job at estimating traffic for Canadian routes on its own, except perhaps (insert Major Canadian City) to Toronto. Smaller centers in particular are short changed on flights connecting them to the nearest 'hub'. The high arctic, in particular, suffers on account of this. In the Big Beta, I have a demand from Vancouver to Thunder Bay of about 30 pax per day. Ditto for Winnepeg, Calgary, and Edmonton. Toronto pulls about 70-80.

Of course, once collected, the route pair data can be submitted to Sami. I get the feeling I'll be taking a suitably obsessive look at traffic to and from some of Canada's smaller centers in the near future.  :-\

or an airline that is taken by another person already.

What's that rule.. never heard of it? :P   (of course a single game world cannot have two airlines of the same name but displaying your airline name or logo here is not a 'reservation' of any kind)
