I was wondering if it would be possible to change the pax demand to 0 from east germany to any western country before nov 1989 . in mt#2 there is even pax demand on routes to the US (departure from SXF)  ???, would be more realistic, otherwise you dont have to split germany into east/ west at all. makes no sense for me....i read something about remodelling the soviet union pax demands would be nice if german pax demand would also be reconsidered...

This is an overview from a German website, listing the Interflug openings of new international routes.

Also, take a look at the Havanna-route (pic attached), as they had no overflight rights over the Federal Republic of Germany... In other sources it is stated that Interflug offered a number of Charter flights for West-Berlin pax, making stops at Nuremberg and Munich to pick up more pax in the 1980 (!). Was new to me.

i know they had a certain routes to these countries, but what i mean, there was definately no routes to london or new york, and in mt#2 there is an airline out of SXF to london which is working in 1987. i am working at SXF and almost all of my collegues worked for Interflug so this very unrealistic. it is just an idea to make aws a bit more realistic, if there is no way to implement....i´ll keep on playing anyway....just a hint for sami  ::)

actually the more im thinking of, i really dont like the fact that this major historical event is not implemented, 9/11 is simulated with all the effects afterwards but there is no iron curtain raise/fall scenario? this really should be put into the sim.

so lock down the 'curtain' and only allow them to use Soviet planes...  I forsee almost no one playing there, then.  Unless they want to play with Il/Yak/Tu planes.
I agree that some authenticity may be needed, but for the interest of the game, we may need to hold off on this for now.
