How do the ratings work?

Some Alliances have low rating and other have 90%.  Do members give the rating or what?

The rate at which the rating goes up depends on the money the alliance receives from the airlines. So the higher the alliance fee and the more members the alliance has, the quicker the rating goes up.

It's a complex formula regarding the strength of the airlines in the alliance, where they fly to, where their members are located, how many people they move, how much they all give in Alliance fees, etc.

Having big airlines all in one country won't get a super high rating.  Nor will an alliance all over the globe made up of small airlines.
