Slot costs

Hi, is there a reason for the high slot prices even on tertiary and smaller airfields?

I see this too. Between any two UK airports, the slots are about 32k+ a pop at each end. From one of my UK bases (EGNX, hardly Heathrow) to Rotterdam, it's 37k at EGNX and 1.4k for the Rotterdam slot. It's only 1951, and it's kinda killing me. It can't be right, surely?

It really depends on where you are and how popular the slots are currently in the game. I'm in Africa and haven't paid a slot fee yet serving 12 destinations because local governments want the service. When a bunch of big long haul airlines eventually start flying to my HQ I suspect that's going to change quickly.
