The next special rules Speed World game opens tomorrow on Saturday January 13th.

This time the Speed World will again have a new and exciting setup and something very new to try out!

Compared to the previous round, the game is even faster, has a different HQ / basing setup, and contains also a new feature at our public games - AI Airlines.

Game setup:
  • Time span: 1992 - 2035
  • Speed of the game is very fast, at only 10 mins per day.
  • The game starts with 100-200 computer-controlled airlines already present in the simulation world, each with 2-20 aircraft in operation. Your task is to enter the existing airline market, find the potential markets and try to beat not just the human competition but also the AI!
  • You can only open an airline in Europe or North America, but you can fly to any destination around the world.
  • There are no real-life geopolitical restrictions when opening additional base airports but your bases must be within the same continent as your HQ airport.
  • The smallest airports are excluded from the game, and the amount of airport slots is limited at the other airports.
  • All aircraft models are available.
  • Your start-up capital is made fully out of loans.
  • Amount of airport slots is very limited at the start, no airport is higher than infrastructure level 3 / 10.

Why are there AI airlines that have been operating since before this game world opened?  There are 2 AI airlines in DVX, both have about 18 aircraft each, and look like they started before the world opened.

That is correct, they have been in operation already some time since you are entering as new airlines to an existing world / market here. For the sake of realism I generated one quarter's worth of route statistics for them.
