WHAT'S FAIR???

I just have some thoughts after reviewing so many complaints in the forum.
Everyone complained always ask for a FAIR environment.  But what is really the FAIR you mean??
Many people complained the used aircraft market where some people have time to sit in front of the computer to get A/Cs while they don't.  Please remember the game pace is 25 mins per day, which means everything changes every 25 mins.  If you are unable to login the game to mange the changes frequently, that is not system's fault.  It is YOUR fault, because you cannot catch up the pace of game. The only thing you should do is to ask Sami to open a new game with slower pace. (Say, use weeks rather than days as basic unit and 2~3 game weeks per real day.)  You expect to be as successful as others but your effort is just 1/10 of them. Does that mean fair??
The A/C purchase CAP is also ridiculous.  You expect that my capacity is the same as you when I have tens of thousands employees and you only have several hundreds.  Does that mean fair??
Moreover, people are complaining that they can't get specific type of A/C or they have to wait for a long time.  It's not system's fault.  It is still Your fault, because you only focus on the A/C with huge orders but neglect others with short waiting period (such as MD-80/90).  And you expect to receive A/Cs at the same time as mine when I placed orders several months ahead of you.  Does that mean fair??
ATB is my first game at AirwaySim.  I made some mistakes in the game too, but I became today where I am because I spend more time than you, I analyze why others success and, the most important I spend my time on developing my own strategy rather than complaining.

So, please Stop Complaining.  A lot of things you argued is not about FAIR. It is just to make things in favor of you.  Yes, there are still rooms for system to improve. But, there are MORE ROOMS for YOU to improve your attitude toward the game and your strategies.  There is no free lunch.  Your harvest depends on your input not the limits on others!!!

If you believe that the complaints/suggestions/criticisms regarding the used aircraft market are all based on lazy players whining about "fairness" and asking to be spoon fed, I would strongly encourage you to re-read all the posts (yes, all) in this thread and this thread, and take time to consider the real reasons why so many complaints have been raised.

The current system is flawed.  You may not agree with this statement, but there are dozens and dozens of other players who do.  Sorry, but my idea of 'fun' does not include waiting weeks (yes, real time weeks) for new aircraft to be delivered while watching the very, very, very small amount of used aircraft be bought up/leased seconds after they are posted on the market.  The only (practical) way to expand right now (in ATB, at least) is to order new planes.  The order books of those planes are backing up past 2004+... for an airline that has just bk'ed and restarted, or a player who has not been able to place new A/C orders every few months, this means real-time weeks of logging in and finding that there is still nothing they can do to expand their airline.

Well, I agree with bluemoon that any "cap" suggestions are inappropriate. Competition is an very important feature for this game.

When people can't compete with others for some reasons, they can't just simply ask for a "cap" solution to weaken others competitive advantages.

But we have to admit that some players are creative and they can come up some reasonable ideas/solutions such as increase productivity of popular models, etc.

I believe bluemoon is aware of those creative/senseable suggestions, he just wish to ask some players stop the nonsense complaining.

BTW. I under estimated Bluemoon's capacity and now I was forced to lease/sell my A320s and 738s just because of there're no empty slotsin my base!! I'm a little bit bored now cause nothing much I can do but I do looking forward and I really enjoy this game

Please check my fleet, maybe you will have another thought.
What i argued is that too many people only focus on limited specific type of A/Cs.
you mentioned ATP, but I believe that MD-80/90/9 series, B737-200adv, and even Foker 27  are also as a good tool to expand. Just people oversee those possibilities. Moreover, for new A/Cs, did you check the delievery time of MD-80/90 where I just check the MD-83 with delivery date in 2000.  Don't aruge with me that those A/C can't make profits, becasue they are the morjority of my fleet.
My conclusion is that waitting there for weeks with nothing to do is caused by your strategy not by the system.  Change your stategy, don't stick on certain type of A/C, and you will find there are more ways to success.
