Weird scheduling change?

Have there been some updates to how rescheduling edited routes works or am I going mad?

Normally, when you modify a route you ALWAYS have to reschedule it back onto the aircraft but I've noticed that now you sometimes don't have to.  I thought I was going mad at first but THREE TIMES this morning I have edited a route to either add a day or remove a day and it has remained on the schedule.  It's not 100% consistent though - I have made some other changes and had to manually reschedule.

I can't see anything in the announcements of new features but I've actually thought this would be a good thing for a long time (10+ years). There could be a quick check (now that processing power is so "cheap") and, so long as the change doesn't create any clashes... why not?

I haven't raised this as a bug because, well, it isn't.  Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

You need to schedule it again if the days of the flight or the times change, or of course if aircraft type changes.

If you removed one flight day and it did not ask to re-schedule then it is an error. Though on further thought, just REMOVING a day perhaps shouldn't trigger it since there are no overlaps for sure, but when ADDING a flight day it should need re-scheduling for sure.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I've just been experimenting and I CAN consistently remove and then re-add a day without needed to reschedule.

But... am I really going crazy?  I've been here for 12 years and NEVER seen that behaviour before this morning. I have a lot of flights (long, double tech stop 737F for example) where one aircraft operates a single flight on 1 3 and 5 and a second aircraft operates 2, 4 and 6. To be clear they're usually two single flights, not six individual ones.  When I start to add these to 7-day schedules I often remove one day at a time, so 1,3,5 becomes just 1,5 for example.  I've always then had to reschedule. I know this 100% for certain because I sometimes forget and then wonder why the route doesn't operate at all and I lose the slots.

Anyway, maybe this DOES need to be moved to the 'bugs' forum.
