Slot and infrastructure questions

Hey everyone,

I have a couple of questions about slot availability and infrastructure levels. I'm at an extremely slot-limited airport, and the infrastructure level is increasing soon. It seems that acquiring enough slots is an important part of strategy at a place like this.

1.  Are new slots only available after an infrastructure increase?
2. If so, are these released all at once after the level increase, or gradually?

To answer your questions:

1) After the initial 12-18 month period at the start of a gameworld, yes, slots are only added after an infrastructure upgrade finishes.

2) They are released all at once. If it is a very busy airport, it might trigger a slot quota, for example 50 slots per 5 game days for all players at that airport.

One more question. How many slots can I expect to be freed once the expansion is completed? I'm at AMS, which has 38/hour now.

The standard are 10 hourly slots per infrastructure level. Since you are at a level 3 airport, you should have 30. But because you have 38 and it is not increasing, it means Sami opted for a slot quota of 1.25 for this game world. 30 * 1.25 = 37.5 (rounded up to 38). With infra level 4 you can expect 40 x 1.25 slots = 50.
