In a previous, and also current, game I fired all the Corporate Communications staff and yet still received these messages:

The manager did seem to take a few months off (over the fall) as they didn't update me about my lack of advertising during this time

How do I stop these messages?

You need to create a marketing campaign...without it, you're company image will tank and you'll be out of business :)  Marketing is a necessary evil whether you like it or not.

As far as I know you cannot get rid of these messages. As annoying as they may seem, they exist for a reason. You will eventually need a marketing campaign to get a (good) company image ("reputation"). Otherwise even the smallest delays and cancellation will get you a negative company image over time which then means less load factors, less profits etc.

Short: Do some marketing and the messages will never appear again.

Exactly as Lemon and Andre answer above. What you are trying to do is adopt a RL mentality that seems logical for some reason in RL, but does not fit in and function in this game. In RL it might be a tactic you could use to fire all your Corp Comms staff, in this game it will be the beginning of the end of you in the longer term.

I've seen once a player in LUX surviving more than a decade with -100 CI. But he had no opposition on most lines, and where he had opposition, he was crushed. I think my RJs were 70/30 in market share against his. It's possible to survive with -100CI, but not advised at all. As soon as opposition is looking for you, you're dead meat. A small campaign won't cost much and will do wonders.

cheapest possible general campaign will still keep CI around the 30 mark.

Curious why you fired all those staff in the first place?

My airline in the previous game only needed a couple of staff members, it did not need any communications staff
