Overstaffing Question

I did a search on this and over the years there have been different ideas about overstaffing so I wanted to ask again. My airline is pretty new but when I got notice today of staffing pay increases I noticed that a few of my areas are overstaffed by 1-4 employees.(pilots 124/120 for example)  From some research I think maybe it is because I moved a plane from one hub to another but I'm not sure.

Should I change those to reflect 100% or is there a reason I am unaware of other than I guess a small hit on my CI to leave overstaffing as is?

Thanks.

Leave it as is--when you add an aircraft those 4 pilots will be busy.  You effectively don't need to touch staff settings at all unless you are downsizing your fleet/types (you will have to manually fire).

Will do. Thanks for your help.

Is it still true that the automatic staff hiring system always hires 101% of the required staff?  That would be what you are seeing, if so. I haven't used it for years - I do all my hiring manually, partly because I'm a cheapskate and I want to avoid the extra 1% but partly for more sound reasons.
