Hi,
I was just wondering about three things.
1. What exactly triggers a bankruptcy warning?
2. When does the game automatically close an airline for lack of funds/assets?
3. How long can a player be inactive before the game closes his airline?

cheers,  dagwood

1. Negative cash below a certain threshold. Figure it to be around negative 10 million, adjusted for inflation.
2. About a real world week after the warning is issued and is not resolved.
3. About 14-15 days unless vacation mode is enabled. If vacation mode is enabled then it's end of game or when they run out of credits.

I see the Declare Bankruptcy option is always available. Is it possible to declare bankruptcy even if the airline is in a healthy financial state? I ask because in my GW a few very large airlines have declared it, and I am wondering why - whether they just got bored, or their airlines were in financial trouble. If the latter, it's worrying because I just ordered a lot of expensive aircraft, and this fate could befall me if I'm not careful!

They can also try to save credits for more challenging games, once they think they did everything they could in the current game.

Not my style, I'm optimizing up to the last day, but who am I to judge?

people BK as it's the only way to leave the game, it's no reflection on how they're doing.

there's an enhancement request asking for different, and more benign, exit options such as "playing golf" "retiring" "moving jobs" etc

Haha. I'm going through something of a 'consolidation' at the moment, very late in this GW, trying to replace older planes with shiny new ones. I've got leases expiring and planes disappearing left and right faster than I can get the new ones in.. it's turning into a bit of a nightmare - clearly I took my eye off the ball there lol.

I've also seen "so-and-so has ceased operations. The CEO of the airline has quit his job and the airline has been closed down today.", which is why I asked, as that doesn't mention bankruptcy, but removes the airline from the game all the same.

Cheers.
