Delivery Date for New Aircraft Keeps being pushed Back

I understand that the delivery date for new aircraft can change from the date noted at the time the order is placed.  I check my delivery date every real-world day or so.  I have come to expect a delay of several game hours - or even several game days -especially when the delivery date is a year or more away.  I also know that my airline has benefited and my delivery date is moved up when an unfortunate airline goes into bankruptcy.

However, since the beginning of GW2, my new aircraft delivery dates regularly seem to be delayed - often by several weeks- on a regular basis. 

I do not understand why.

If it's a prod line with new models being launched, then a certain degree of priority is given to the newer models.
