Production slots

I don't understand why theres a 2 year gap in my deliveries when there are plenty of open production slots during that time frame. What gives? Seriously cramping my plans now.

I also noticed a gap.  Not 2 year, but 2 month gap in my case, and this is in middle of a single order, and it has not been re-adjusted / compressed in several game months.

I placed this order in Feb 2006. My last delivery was in Oct 2010. There are still 8 frames left to be delivered on this order. I placed another order for 30 more frames that were to be delivered starting October 2011. This would have reaulted in only a two month gap between the last delivery of the first order and the first delivery of the second order. This wouldve made my fleet renewal seamless. Now im left with a 2 year gap in deliveries with no explanation and scrambling to find replacements for aircraft that are nearing D check. Pretty frustrating

You didn't specify the production line or game world, but I assume a new type of that plane launched recently?

If so, it's likely related to this bug - https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,78933.0.html - which has not yet been addressed yet has been causing rage across the whole of the player population.

I read that thread as well. Im only in GW#1. A330-200 so not a new production line at all. I did however order the -200f when it was launched. So are you implying that because i ordered the 200f it completely screwed my deliveries of the rest of my -200s?

Yes, because you or someone else ordered the 200f, it bonkered the 330 line for you and everyone else is what I am suspecting

Well thats a huge pain in the ass. Just napalmed my entire plan. Everything lined up perfect when i placed these orders and after the 200f orders got allocated i got screwed. Not only did my original-200 orders get pushed back 2 years it also sent my -200f orders back almost 5 years after the type is certified. This kind of thing drives me nuts.

The A320 order line in GW1 is in the same mess now. I had A321Neo on order to arrive from Feb 2015 to mid 2018, approximately 2.5 per month. When the 320Neo was launched, deliveries were from 2017 so I expected them to be tagged directly to the end of my 321Neo order from 2018.  Instead all my 321Neo orders have been strung out until Nov 2020, many  with 2 to 5 month gaps. At one point there is a gap from Jul 18 to Aug 20 - TWO YEARS! My final 321Neo now arrives in Nov 2020 when the 320Neo start. these were originally strung out with 2 to 3 month gaps but have recently been compressed to  around three per month, which is nice, but no changes to the earlier orders with all the gaps. I wonder if there will be more compression later.
