Many alliances are not responding to new applicants in a reasonable and timely manner.  If you are gonna reject me, please do so.  I'll cry til I stop.  If you want to welcome new carriers, that would be great.  It should not take 4-5 days with no response.

Best bet is to send PM to all 3 moderators of the alliance you want to apply to.

I remember doing this when I started out. None of of 3 replied from that alliance.

I just knocked elsewhere... their loss if they couldn't be bothered in 3 real days

Side note: when I first applied to an alliance, the kind of posh aspect of the "closed" alliances made me insist knocking elsewhere.

Found out later on that there are some really nice persons in these alliance , but that aspect didn't attract me.
