Vote for the next "Challenge" theme scenario

Time to get some votes in again. The mini challenge games last about 2-3 months, and plans are to start the next one early next month since 1980s Challenge finishes soon.

What do you prefer?

There's no competition - we need a cargo-only world.

The current mini GW was good! We probably need to continue to late 80s till end of 90s...
For example, from 1981 till 1998/2002.

I would love a game world in which some of the "protections" are turned off—specifically the too small penalty and the penalty for tech stops.  2-stop a Dessault Mercury between Chicago and Paris?  Why not!

I would love to see a Soviet aircraft challenge. No geographic restrictions but increased production rates.

How about a game with no players permitted to base at the any of the top 50 or 100 global megahubs (i.e. KATL, KLAX, EGLL, WSSS, VHHH, etc.), or only single base non-US airlines permitted? Time to see who can hold their own in places like MPTO or OKBK without the benefit of easy bases.

Need a 80s to 00 as this was a period of a lot of change of aircraft types in this period.

Africa challenge. It would feature African and European airports but the bases should be opened only in the black continent.

I revise my request. Bring on the Soviet ships!

I see that long and short haul worlds got a lot of votes, I would like to see either, that would be fun.

I would like to see a "classic" game world that might run 20 years and you are allowed to run ABCBA, ABCA, ACBA route combinations. If you want to really make it fun you can remove the seat restrictions to allow funnelling of planes through mini hubs at the "B" cities (Although seat blocking would still make it possible). You can put a warning that competition level will be intense or something.

It would be fun to celebrate the approximately 10+ year anniversary of AWS.  The old timers will probably have mellowed or be waiting to pounce and the new(er) players will learn the true meaning of competition.   ;D

Maybe not this next one, but if the game engine still allows it, us long time players would love the chance to play this type of free for all for one of these short world's during 2019  ;)

Soviet/Russian only  is a very nice option. Otherwise (and more generally): unwanted planes. Sort out the less sold planes over a few GW, ensure that there is a rather good spread of choice (add a few "regulars" if needed to balance it a bit), increase the prod rates, and then build a GW around them:
- best time span depending on when there are so many of these "unwanted" planes
- slightly lower fuel burn (to ensure we can still make a profit)
- probably more SH and MH (I don't see any real unwanted LH plane)

Idea for future Mini-challenge scenario.

Fully functional game world except for one condition. Random HQ.

You are randomly presented with 3 choices, one from each randomly chosen continent to  choose a primary airport as base. If you do not like the 3 choices, you may shuffle up to 3 tries. (can't buy to renter game world to for abuse). Only when you declare bankruptcy, you can choose only from the 3 last choices that were presented.

Or you may proceed to choosing a secondary airport. No limit.

And the cargo game is the winner this time... Details to follow.  :)
