Hello all. Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I couldn't find such discussion on the forum.

When I first set a route towards a certain destination the slot cost does not appear on my income statement and I know this is because it is considered an asset and will only be deducted when i abandon those slots.

Lately I have started operating more flights on the same routes and both slot prices (my base and the destination) are being deducted from my budget. Are only slots for the first flight considered assets? Is this to prevent from hordering slots?

You have to pay for slots only once, when you open the (or later if you have choosen that option. When you pay for slots it is automatically paid from your cash.

If you open a new flight on the same route on the same day you have to pay for the slots again.

What "budget" are they bring deducted from?

Slot costs are deducted from Cash Flow from Investing Activities - Capital expenditures (intangible assets).
