Comets

I´m experiencing a problem that may be a bug.....

In my fleet I had 47 de Havilland DH.106 Comet 4 with 2.390 kg cargo capacity. So far, so good. All routes transporting pax and cargo.

I leased one de Havilland DH.106 Comet 4C, with NO cargo capacity by the specs in the game. And suddenly ALL MY ROUTES have no cargo capacity. If I edit one route to change the departure time, for example, I can´t manage the cargo slider on the bottom of the screen.

Any thoughts???

From what you described, does not look normal...

Sidereus

So, are you going to investigate, Sami?

A quick glance at my comets...

Route 001 - Currently on a comet 3, cargo capacity 60kg/240kg and selling some with each flight. Click Edit and it says no cargo capacity is available at the slider.

groundbum2

definitely bust, several models of new comets says 0kg for cargo capacity. GW4

Not sure why you think its a bust... have you looked into the numbers?

Total cargo hold for Comet 4C = 640 Cu Ft or 18.12m3

In AWS, baggage for one Pax is around .17m3. https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Manual/Routes/Cargo/
QuoteFor example: 160 passengers and their bags on a shorthaul flight will weigh together 15 200 kg (on average 83 kg per passenger, and on average 0.8 bags, 15 kg each, per passenger on this sector) and the bags will take up 21.75 m3 of the cargo hold space (one bag size is 0.17m3 on average).

So, the avg Pax baggage (.17m3) multiplied by default seating config of 100 pax = 17m3. 17m3 of 18.12m3 = 1.12m3 of cargo space... which does not meet the minimum requirement of space for cargo.

If you want to transport cargo+pax, don't fly it with 100+ pax.

If you end up with no cargo availability on a particular flight with a particular seating, that can be just fine,

But what is being reported that a while editing a route, the slider is unavailable, which is a problem.  It may be a symptom of the system assuming the worst capability of the variants in your fleet.  So no cargo may be true for one variant (and seating config), but not necessarily for all, so the slider should be there.

There are two separate issues here. Groundbum2 is bringing in an unrelated complaint to the op's and that is what talentz is replying to. The op's issue is related to what seems to be a bug with the slider.
