Marketing campaign for cargo routes

Does the marketing campaign has any effect on cargo route's image?
I have just started a new cargo route I don't know if I needed to start a new campaign.

If you mean route marketing, then yes, it does make a difference in how fast Route Image (RI) increases.  Cargo routes act exactly the same as pax outes as far as how they increase RI.  But Cargo routes are more sensitive to the level of RI.  Meaning, you need high RI for the route to get close to its full potential.

But marketing campaigns are optional.  RI goes up (slower) on its own just by flying the route.
