737-200adv has hushkit, conversion from 737-200adv to 737-200c adv has no kit

Dear Sami,

When I have lots of 737-200adv that can be equipped with hushkits, then why do my 737-200c adv aircrafts have no such option? Can you please implement it or otherwise cargo airlines are in deep trouble.

Thank you,
André

EDIT: Just noticed you can convert 737-200c adv into 737-200F. And those 737-200F have the hushkit option. So in other words: Do I really need to convert 737-200adv into 737-200c adv to convert those into 737-200F? Like 2 conversions, and then a hushkit on top?

Join the club. I gave up on getting an answer on it, and just ordered 10 new 737-200C ADV, and immediately converted them to 737-200F's

Don't know about RL for the hushkit, but the 200C Adv is available quite a few years before the 200F, so if you started to fly the 737 Jurassic early on and want to add cargo, yes, at some point you don't have a choice but to fly the 200C Adv. Or wait until the 200F is available before going for the 737. Which I reckon is painful.

The issue here is this:

Let's say I have a "hushkitted" 737-200adv which I then convert into a 737-200c adv. Would I expect the frame to keep its hushkit? Yep.
Or let's say I have 737-200adv which can be upgraded to noise level 3. Would I expect the same to be true for the cargo version of the 737-200adv? Yep.

Agreed.
On the other hand, as for your 1st proposal, you'd have no reason to convert a hushkitted 737-200 Adv to 737-200C Adv: the 737-200F will be better and already available by that time (the hushkit is available after the -200F). And for the same cost.
However will the newly converted 737-200F retain its hushkit, this is a good question.

Upgrades are not transferrable in the conversion since they are tied to single a/c model, and in conversion the model is changed. But have to see if they could be kept if the name is matching (i.e. "Hushkit") or something that way (not smart but might work).

To come back to the original question: Will there be a hushkit for the 737-200c adv?

Can we get some clarification on what's happening with the 737-200c? In GW#2 noise regulations to chapter 3 will be implemented in 2000 for many countries including U.S. It's now Sept 1998. If the only choice is to convert 732adv or 732C to 732F, then upgrade engines on the F as the only option to have a chapter 3 737-200 dedicated freighter, then A) that is not cool and B) will cost 5-6million each aircraft, but what is even worse is the 80 day conversion plus 14 to upgrade. 94 days. Totally absurd and a long time. An answer soon would be most appreciated so I know if I should get on with this monumental time task or not. Why a hushkit can't be put on a 737-200c with pw 17r engines when it can go on a 737-200adv with pw 17r engines, no reason, is there? It's not like we're wanting to put cfm engines on the older airframe.

These are now fixed ( see bug report)   You should've been able to upgrade just ahead of the US restrictions
