A bit of organizing for the alliances and forums, possibly... For example in order to eliminate the need for any "staging areas" for new game worlds where bases and such are coordinated before game launch.
- Alliance forums will be grouped together, so that there is first the "main board" that is visible to all members of this alliance in all game worlds, and then the "sub boards" that are visible only to members of that individual game world:
FORUM INDEX
-- My Alliance Forum - Main [all members of "My Alliance" in all games]
-- My Alliance Forum - Game World #1 [only for "My Alliance" members of "Game World #1"]
-- My Alliance Forum - Game World #2 [ etc. ]
-- My Alliance Forum - Game World #3
So in this example there are 4 boards. The "Main" forum is just a normal forum too where posts can be made.
This way alliance members of GW#3 can talk there about that stuff, but then can also communicate with members from GW#2 in the "Main" forum, and alliance members can plan for the future game worlds.
If member is at Alliance A in GW#1 but in Alliance B in GW#2, he won't see or be able to share any "sensitive" info (unless of course it is posted to the alliance "main" forum, but that info would be in the game world specific alliance forum anyway in the current format).
- Alliances will have "global managers" and "game world specific managers", with similar priviliges than now.
- Global managers can appoint members (as many as they want) to have "alliance creation" rights, besides of themselves. Meaning that when a new game world starts these members are allowed to form the alliance in that game world, becoming managing members there (max 3). Global managers can also change/update the game-world specific managing members list if they wish.
- The members who have the "alliance creation" rights have also the possibility to create a new alliance. So whenever a new alliance is set up the system will ask if you wish to create a new alliance, or just open a "division" of that alliance into this game world (if it does not exist yet). So players are not tied into any alliance, even though they are managers in some other game (or have creation rights to that alliance for this game even).
- To be noted: alliance creation in a new g/w is not automatic, it must be formed in a similar manner like now, and management functions inside the game will remain the same.
- New out-of-game page for alliances will be built where you can manage / view these things centrally without logging into game world. Possibly with later enhancements so that you can display your alliance to public (some details visible for users who aren't logged in).
==> Organizing systems so that alliances in different worlds are more tied together, but still not so tightly that players could not join some other alliance in a different game world.
