Maintenance Cost Issue - too high?
« on: January 21, 2018, 08:10:33 PM »
So Ive started new and have two A319's running with A-B checks. On Commoniality, it says Costs/Month: 120 000$
But when i check into Income Statement, every week, Aircraft Maintainance is around 1 100 000$!
Is that correct? How can i fix that? Its eating up all my Money. Im doing 99% FL on my flights.

How old are the a319s maintenance cost is linked to age. What condition where they in when you acquired them?

Commonality is just a part of maintenance costs. The other part is directly linked to the airframe. Current GW3, I've got 93 A320 and 29 IL96, for respectively 5.5M$ and 4.5M$ of commonality costs(plus trinkets for the engines, though the Aviadvigatel engines are costly on this side). Per month.

Still, my monthly maintenance costs are around 20M$, because each individual plane has its own costs. That's normal. It's an addition.

Performing actual ABCD checks is separate charge / expense on the income statement.  Separate from the fixed maintenance costs shown on the Commonality Page.
