So I have a slot warning on my BW 1 world for the fact I haven't got the seven planes yet. I have 5 planes 2 of which come over the next 1 - 2 weeks but the slots for the routes expire in a week. I will have ordered all 7 planes before the expiry but I assume your planes have to be flying in that time, so my question is say I lapse past the week and the slots go back, how do I reacquire the slots assuming they haven't been sold. Do I just edit route and click confirm or what?

Lastly I won't let them expire as once I order the last of my planes I will give the new planes routes from other planes and put the 7 plane 7 day schedule on my older available planes but was wondering what happens if you say didn't have the aircraft to do the routes and were waiting to order them and been in a place that is only run from 6am to 11pm means there is a slot shortage, so what would happen if you were screwed and lost your slots and someone purchased them does that mean your whole 7 day schedule is lost? Would you guys run your first planes on alternate routes and then when you have 5 and can get the other 2 within 2 weeks would you then create your 7 day schedule? I am just wondering as I think I may be doing it wrong when creating 7 day schedule and not having the planes (lucky I have a lot of the planes for this 7 day schedule to not let them lapse)

Which means that (1)it's better to schedule on times when there are a few slots remaining (0600 is risky in that context); and (2)the "do not buy slots for this airport" checkboxes are your friend.

When you build 7-days, 7-planes schedules from airframes directly coming form the manufacturer, it can be 5 months between the first one and the last one. You'd better prepare well your slots. It makes scheduling even more complex. That's life.

Lucky for me in BW #1 I am using used 737-800's as my main plane, I do have some CRJ's but will be at lease renewell cancelling them or close to it so I can just keep using Boeing 737's, I will close to the time of not renewing my CRJ's will get new planes at that point hopefully :)
