Is there a way to improve the "Estimation accuracy" in Route Planning?

I'd say the only way to do that, is to keep the route strategies department happy. "Route strategies personnel helps you in viewing the estimated passenger demands on a route."

The higher the morale the higher the accuracy should be.

Is it just me or can I just refresh the page a couple of times and then get different estimations where I can calculate a rough average in my mind?

^That.

There is a number, an actual number, that rises over time (and sometimes falls, but mostly rises) that the UI will never, ever show you. Instead it shows you a number that it randomly picked within a certain % range of the real number, based on the accuracy of your route strategy department and (probably) the phases of the Moon, the Nikkei stock index, and the current temperature in Boise.

From that number, it then calculates the demand for individual days of the week. Those, it seems, are fixed % as when you get a certain number for Friday, you will always get a certain other number for Saturday.

My route strategy dept always has a 100 morale number and yet the varied estimates persist.  I have played for 3 years and have never really seen an answer.

It is always an estimate and it is never 100% accurate, as also in real life.

I noticed that too and it made me question the accuracy.

I can see why it has to be like this - because it's also only an estimation in real life. But, doesn't it just generate extra load on the servers?  I, like Andre090904 and many others simply refresh 4 or 5 times to get a better idea. A waste of clicks and bandwidth.
