Behavior of when one side of slot have been acquired by airline

Whena  player only acquired one side of slot without the otherside in a pair of route, it seems like the aircraft would still flown one way. It doesn't seems like the system ask user to pay for the cost of repositioning those aircraft in order to do the one way flying, is it true? And can the aircraft repositioning cost get modelled into the system?
