At YUL airport in LH challenge i want to schedule a plane to departure at 2100-ish from YUL at Saturday but there are no availlable slot per hour, however from the slot table it seems like most of the time still have 0.44 slot left per 5 minutes that day. What does 0.44 mean?

It's just a fraction of available slot.  You don't have to worry about it as long as it is greater than 0.

Let me give you an example.  Suppose there are 6 remaining slots in 1 hour, and they are perfectly spread out between 12 time slots (4 minute increments).  Then, you would see 0.5 in each one of the 5 minute time slots.

Yet I cannot schedule any flight departuring from the airport in that hour....unless i read the chart wrong... which seems to be the case here...thanks anyway

If the chart says 0.44 for the time period 2100-2105, you should be able to take the 2100 slot.  If it says 0, then it is unlikely you can take the slot.

Do you have a picture of the slot page, to understand your question better?
