345 burn fewer fuel than 772ER/LR?

was comparing different aircraft and the tool shows me that 345 burn about 6400 fuel /h while 772 ER or LR variant burn something like 6600-7000. But weren't the reason why there are still so many 777 around in real world while 340s are retiring are because of 777s' lower fuel burn up to ten twenty percent? Does 772 ER/LR actually burn more fuel in game compared to 345 or is it just because of the way it sample the data?

The 777 has lower fuel burn when calculated pax+cargo per fuel usage.
When cargo kicks in I think the 777 will be a lot more competitive.
Not only against the A340(-300), but also the A330 due to payload/range capabilities.

For example:
A346 v B77W max payload range 5400nm v 5500nm. (though the 777 can carry more payload longer and higher weights to begin with)
A333 v B77E vs B77L max payload range 3900nm v 5200nm v 7500nm

Real life retirement reasons are not so much fuel burn but the cost of engine mx for theA340s. At this juncture, 77As and 77Es are quite undesired by most airlines as well....
