Weather related delays

I have an airline based in chicago midway and every winter I am hit with a huge amount of delays and cancellations due to weather. 80+ cancelations 3% of all flights and delays totalling 15000 minutes which brings delays to 78%.

Do these delays negativley impact my company and route image as they are beyond my control?

My own experience in Glasgow or Detroit is that as long as you're above 80% in winter, everything is OK.

WX delays are based on location (basically, up north in winter is bound to have more delays ... etc), and out of your control, and that's why it does not hurt your image as badly as a cancellation due to technical reasons for example.

I flew out of MDW also in my first long term game and it took me a while to get that delays/cancellations in the winter were out of my control. I have my flights well spaced in the game I am in now and it still happens but I dont freak out about it going down to 80-85%.
