Mandatory rescheduling after flight time update?

I wonder why when i slightly changing flight departure time (like +/- 5 minutes), when the adjusted time still match the aircraft original empty slot time without conflict, I'd still be asked to reschedule my planes? Can't it work more intellecutely and automatic fit available time in the aircraft and only ask for reschedule if that does not fit?
