best time for maintenance

Hi guys,

I was thinking about maintenance of my airplanes.

What would be the best time for big maintenance (C and D check) during a year? Just at the beginning of the new year when demand is as it's lowest?

And if so, would it be wise, cost effectively, to reschedule the maintenance schedules, deducting the extra costs?

Or would it be more wise to spread the maintenance during the whole year?

Please advise me...

Thanks!

The ideal would be to spread the maintenance during the whole year. When a bunch of airplanes go into C checks around the same time it can drive you to bankruptcy.

spreading it out over the year is definitely the best way to schedule maintenance. when you have an approximately equal number of planes in C checks every month it's easy to see the costs and easy to plan for. The best thing is that you can't accidentally spend the money earmarked for c checks because it comes out every month.
