unused airport slots

Hi - can anyone tell me how to remove unused airport slots?
Keep getting emails telling me that I have unused airport slots but cant find a way to remove them.

They will expire automatically. If you are not using the slots, just ignore the warnings.

 If you want to get rid of them immediately, you can go to routes > routes, and then click on "view routes not being flown" and then delete them from there .
