Those numbers get actually higher for large and very large aircraft.  Something like 20 pilots per 2 pilot slots.

5 pilots for 2 pilot slots is not so bad, actually.  Assuming that, in theory, your aircraft can be flying 24/7.  Pilots also have vacations, have sick days, do training etc.

Yes, I've counted incorrectly.
2 pilots per one a/c is 70 pilots in first team. and 70 pilots in second. + reserve pilots. Everything is okay in fact:)
