Production slots and planning
« on: May 25, 2015, 05:53:42 PM »
Buying a new aircraft I have the chance to see which production slots are available, but then delivery date is anyway fixed.
Do we have the chance to move forward the delivery according to my needs?
I have a leasing expires in six months, what can't I order now a plane with delivery planned for that period?

And, another detail, even if my plane is plannes for a certain date, I can see a lot of slots free before the date of delivery. Why does my plane arrive so late if there are slots available before?

MAny thanks for help

The order times will move automatically according to where are the free slots, when you previous slot is etc. The delivery date is locked in some months prior delivery and after that it won't move.

You cannot manually change the dates.

Just a quick one in addition to this,  I placed two orders for the same aircraft and due to there being no free slots  there was a gap of some 6 months between the first orders last delivery and the second orders first delivery.  I have just seen that there are now  free slots between my existing orders due to a cancellation,  I can't seem to find a way to move my second order up the production line or purchase more aircraft to fill the slots between them (they automatically get put in the first slot after my final order which just so happens to be over a decade away!).  Am I missing something or is this an oddity I can not overcome?
