Maintenance in favor of delayed flight?
« on: April 23, 2015, 01:46:51 PM »
Hi there,

I'm wondering if there is any difference whether or not I schedule regular maintenance (A-Check) right behind one sector or I leave space between.
Let's say: Your rotation EGLL-LFPG-EGLL starts at 1200 and ends at 1600. Earliest next departure is 1630. Now when I schedule the A-Check at 1630 but the Flight has delay, is there a bigger chance for cancellation of the flight compared to when I'd schedule A-Check at 1700 (meaning 1 hour between end of flight and maintenance)?

It makes no difference. Maintenance isn't affected by delays and it doesn't cause delays, so you should schedule A check to earliest possible time.
