Demand Update?

I read a few of the pervious posts on this topic and was wondering if any progress has been made on updating how demand is calculated? In several pervious posts Sami made mention of something being worked on, but the last one I noticed was April 2013.

The initial data collection, whole globe, is almost done. And there has been other progress too, so moving forward slowly. (lots of other things on the plate too)
