Delivery dates of new aircraft

I am planning to change of my turboprop fleet to Dash 8-Q400. I also want them to be delivered each in different month so I don't have problem with all of them having C check in one month, so I am ordering one by one.
When I ordered the first one, I've got a delivery date for October 1st, 1999. I waited for someone else to order it, and then I placed the order for second one and the delivery date is....May 17th, 1999 which by the way is predicted month of certification of that a/c.

Anyone knows why the game behaves that way ? Any method for make it a more predictable = managable and possible to plan ?
I have prepared a schedule for exchanging every aircraft in particular month and year and to lease something for short term if needed, but described situation turns my schedule into wasted work.
Does such situation happens also on different types of aircraft ?
By the way, I am playing on full game #2

EDIT: I have just placed order for third one, and it is having delivery date as it should be by logical calculation, which is a month later with 10 aircraft/month production cycle.
Sami, if you are going to tweak something about this, will my order for May be moved to November ? I don't want to have two of them delivered in one month, so can you please leave my orders schedule as it is, or cancel one of the order if it has to go to some other month as second in that month ?

Dash 8-400s are the best props in the game. Good choice on choosing them. ;)

I'm planning on ATRs for now. lol

When in was in Beta 1, the last place I was based at was LCY. I had a fleet of Dash-8s and some ERJ-190s (It was towards the end of the beta game).

In the end , I was one of the only airlines to make any money (due to $900 per 1000 kg fuel!  ;D).

They are a great choice.

Hope you have great profits with them.

Yeah, I know they are very good, but ATR 72-500 is even better in terms of fuel efficiency, however it is much slower.
Q400 is almost as fast as jet burning less than half of fuel, so it can be compared to 70-seater jets in terms of performance.
I was considering two options of fleet:

ATR 42/72 for routes below 600 nm
Fokker 70/100 for routes 600-1500 nm
Boeing 737-700/800 for routes like 1500-3000 nm
and I have not decided about longhaul, but certainly 762ER and 763ER or 772LR.

But after recongnizing and comparing job I decided to change my fleet to

Dash 8's for most regional routes under 1200 nm and B737 for all other routes within a continent.
I regret that Dash 8-300 has no fleet commonality with -Q400 cuz then I would use both of them and now I will probably get rid of my -300s.
